Experience the enchanting designs and colors of Daydreamer, the newest collection from Dear Lizzy! Wishes come true with hand-drawn graphics that highlight the collection’s ethereal playfulness. Bikes, cameras, bows, florals, and polka dots are presented in hues of pink, mint, and yellow. Soft colors provide the backdrop for bold pops of coral, red, and blue.
This collection features 24 double-sided patterned papers, two paper pads, coordinating Thickers, stickers, and a beautifully designed set of acrylic stamps. Previous favorites, including pockets and inserts, die cut shapes, and adhesive badges are joined by new items: a convenient paper crimper and a nesting die set for quickly adding fun patterns on paper.

Hand cut a heart from the bottom right then paint a border around the heart using blue watercolors. Back the heart with white cardstock that has been embossed with the Daydreamer Embossing Folder (it's got cute little banners all across it - perfect for this celebratory occasion!). Tuck two photos under the heart and embellish with stickers, wood veneer shapes, a badge, button, enamel dots, a Thickers title, the date stamped on a label sticker, journaling written on a journaling card, and more as shown. How to: Punch a 2" square from lots of patterned papers in the Daydreamer line and trim each square into a triangle. Place two photos on the middle (very slightly off-center) of a dark blue cardstock layout base then spiral the triangles around the photos. Stitch over the triangles to keep them in place. (Putting a plug in for my STITCHED class over at Studio Calico - where you'll learn 24 new hand and machine stitching tricks and techniques!) Stamp the date on the top photo. Place a title in a curve under the photos using an assortment of Thickers. Add a wood veneer camera, "3" chipboard number and "1/2" button, bike die cut, pinwheel sticker topped with a badge, and more, around the photos as shown. Drop white spray mist over the top right and bottom left corners. Journal along one of the stitched curves.

I'm so excited to announce our Plus One Guest Designer and former American Crafts Design Team Member Jen Chesnick! (Blog: Jen Chesnick | Instagram: @jenchesnick | Pinterest: @jenchesnick | Twitter: @jenchesnick)
Short bio: Hi AC fans! My name is Jen Chesnick, I go by Chez too - a long time family nickname that I married into and it just kind of took a life of its own. Currently I live in the great state of Maryland with my husband Bill and my daughter Parker. I sell cheese and crackers by day for Mondelez International and by night I craft, scrapbook, obsess over Pinterest & Facebook. Not only am I a social media addict I watch almost all reality TV, it’s quite ridiculous. Remember The Real World? That’s where it ALL started. When I am not cooped up in the house I like to travel, and don’t be shocked, but I love to camp. As long as I have wi-fi and a power strip all is well in the world.
How did you get started scrapbooking? I started scrapbooking in 2006 after seeing one of my Mothers scrapbooks. I've always been a pretty crafty gal. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of making crafts in Girl Scouts and patching together random fabric pieces making clothes. Paper crafting has turned into a full on obsession.
What is your favorite American Crafts product? Patterned paper! I love that there are always lots of papers to chose from and the B sides are always just as good as the front.

The first thing I do is gather all the supplies that I want to use. Gathering my supplies and putting them in a basket next to my desk makes the process easier because I'm not searching for all my supplies.
After my supplies are gathered I started by creating my pages. I cut pieces of white cardstock at 5 1/2 inches wide by 4 1/4 inches tall. I cut all black cardsock just slightly larger than the white cardstock. I then moved on to doing all of my diecuts. I cut all of the die cuts at one time so I didn't have to get my die cutting supplies out multiple times.
Then I did all my stamping. I knew I wanted the word "darling" as part of my title so I stamped that and then a few accent pieces while I had all my stamping supplies on my desk. I didn't use all of these pieces. I have a few left that are sitting in a little bowl on my desk waiting to be used on another project.
After I had my die cuts and stamping all finished, I laid out all the pages on my desk and created the base of the pages, meaning that I didn't add photos, or many embellishments. I just wanted the basic layout of each page completed. I then took my stack of pages to my sewing machine and did a little bit of stitching on a few of the pages.
After that I added my photos, a bit of journaling, adhered the white cardstock to the black cardstock, and a few more embellishments. Then, I was ready to put my album together. When I punched the holes for the album I clipped a few pages together with a clip and then punched them.
After all the holes were punched I added the binder rings and my album was complete.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at the this fun mini album made with Plus One supplies!

Ashley says, "I love the graphic look of the Plus One collection, and I wanted to create a background for my layout that enhanced that look. I used my Silhouette Sketch pens to draw the word 'love" (an American Crafts cut file from the Silhouette store) on my background paper. Then I cut the word "love" from two of the Plus One patterned papers and layered them over the sketched words."
